1. Who we are

This website is operated by LMK Engine Rebuild ("we", "us", "our"), of Unit 13, Silver Springs Farm, Drift Road, Maidenhead, SL6 3SU, United Kingdom.

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. Our ICO data protection registration is currently being processed; we will publish our registration reference here once it is confirmed.

2. What personal data we collect

When you use the contact form on this site, we collect:

Your name
Your email address
Your telephone number
Your vehicle registration
Your vehicle make and model
Whatever you tell us in the "How can we help?" message field

The map on our Contact page is an optional embedded Google Map, which sets Google's own cookies in your browser. It only loads if you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner shown on your first visit; if you choose "Decline", or don't decide, no Google cookie is set, and the Contact page just links out to Google Maps instead. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. Aside from that one optional embed, this website does not use cookies, analytics, or any other third-party tracking scripts, so we do not otherwise automatically collect browsing data about you.

3. Why we collect it, and our lawful basis

We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, and arrange or carry out work on your vehicle. Our lawful basis for this is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract once agreed, under Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR.

We do not send marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional offers. We only use your details to respond to your enquiry and arrange or carry out work on your vehicle.

4. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and customer data for up to 6 years after our last dealing with you, in line with our accounting obligations and the time limit for bringing a contract claim under UK law, after which it is securely deleted.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data with the following third parties, strictly to deliver the service above:

Formspree, which processes contact form submissions on our behalf and delivers them to us. Formspree processes data in the United States and other countries where it operates, and applies its own legal safeguards for these transfers, as set out in its privacy policy at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Google Workspace, our email provider, who stores messages we receive and send.
We do not share your data with any other third party.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Ask us what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it (right of access)
Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data (right of rectification)
Ask us to delete your data (right of erasure), where it's no longer needed or you withdraw consent
Object to us processing your data in certain circumstances (right to object)
Ask us to restrict processing while a query is resolved (right to restriction)
Ask for your data in a portable format, where relevant (right to data portability)

7. How to complain
